This tends to support lack of 7~ bonding in disilyl sulfide, where the Si-S-Si angle is 97" (20), though u-bonding hybrid orbitals involving the sulfur d orbitals will keep the value of the angle low while still permitting 7~ bonding to occur. T h e Si-S-Si angle of 75" does not in fact measure the angle between the bonding electron pairs.
